Erundina – is a 44-year old survivor of child abuse, domestic violence, and rape. As a result of the abuse, Erundina developed PTSD and subsequently became homeless as well as addicted to alcohol and drugs. She is now trying to reclaim her life by managing the symptoms of PTSD. Erundina is coming up on her four-year anniversary of being sober and fighting to find her own voice as an advocate by getting a Masters in Social Work. While trying to stay sober and afford school, Erundina's story is a balancing act of courage, inspiration and self-discovery. She is passionate and indefatigable in her drive. With her haunting past, economics and symptoms as obstacles, Erundina will struggle to reach her goals of staying sober, healing her relationships and becoming a social worker. |
